Cradled in Love Blog
With each of my 8 children, I have enjoyed a babymoon for the few weeks following the delivery of my newborn. My husband, my mom, my older children, or any other help we had arranged continued with the household running, while I had a restful recovery time.
It was sometime in the wee hours of the morning that I sat in the living room of the quiet house of my friend’s. There I was a young girl in my high teens rocking a newborn blissfully in the middle of the night. To me it was the biggest treat to have this privilege.
As both a loss mom and a doula who has walked with clients during their loss, I know the heartache that is only felt because there are no words deep enough to describe it. Sometimes, you just need to know that someone else is in this “heartbreak club”…
In my memories, I can still see the faces of the sweet mommas I have supported as I fondly remember their births. I count it such a joy that these precious parents have welcomed me into their family during such an amazing moment.
December has brought a lot of changes to Cradled in Love Birth Services! Yes, we still offer exceptional doula services and birth classes in Greenville, SC, but we hope we can serve the needs of our current (and future) clients even better!
